They were made by William Aitken of Birmingham, with the brush carrying the hallmark for 1915 and the brush for 1916. Please see the photos.ĭimensions are taken from the widest points. The mirror, which has a bevelled edge to the glass, is 280 mm (11 Inches) in length and has a width of 140 mm (5.5 inches), whilst the brush is 260 mm (10.25 inches) long and 83 mm (3.5 inches) wide. 🔹The hairbrush brush has some damage to the top, where the white plastic rim has a chip and a crack. 🔹The cardboard box is intact, with wear to the lid, and plastic liner. 🔸Both sets of bush bristles are in good condition, but have a few bent outer bristle due to storage. 🔸The gold tone and plastic areas are bright and shiny, with some scuffs and marks. 🔸The decoration is in excellent condition. 🔸This vintage Lissco vanity set is in very good used condition. Both sets of bristles are removable for cleaning, although they are quite stiff, and I could only manage to remove those of the clothes brush. The brush bristles are inserted into plastic bases, and have “nylon, made in England, press” printed on it. The mirror glass is a good size, and has a bevelled edge. The items in the set have handles and frames of gold tone metal and cream plastic. This set is decorated with a cream fabric with a textured gold check design, and is protected by a layer of clear plastic. This unusually shaped, three piece set comprises of a hand mirror, hair brush and clothes brush.
It has it’s branded cardboard presentation box, lined with moulded plastic, and care instructions.
